Welcome to Kirkland Vision Center. Our clinic is conveniently located near downtown Kirkland at Parkpace Center.

In September of 2013, Dr. Lewis S. Lim acquired the clinic from Dr. Henry Peters who has since retired.  Dr. Lim has recently welcomed Dr. Nessa Livingston to the practice.

Dr. Lim and Dr. Livingston offer full service eye and vision care for the entire family.  Kirkland Vision Center uses the latest vision technology and state of the art equipment to provide you and your family with the most comprehensive eye care in our community.

We look forward to providing your family with the very best in eye care.  Call us to schedule an appointment.  We also welcome walk-in prescriptions and adjustments.

Kirkland Vision Center Recent News: Dr. Henry Peters Retires

Dr. Henry Peters has retired after 32 years of practicing in the Kirkland area.  The following is a letter he has written to his patients:

Dear Patients,

I feel the "call of the wild." The "wild" in this case being four grandchildren ages two through eleven. They are compelling me to retire in Nacogoches, Texas. But leaving the Pacific Northwest, the place I call home, and my work, is not easy. Many of you first came to me as children, and now your children are beginning to bring in their children for their vision care. I want to thank all of you for the privilege and opportunity of caring for your eye health. I hope that through caring for your vision needs, I have enriched your lives as you have enriched mine.

I want to assure all of you that I am leaving you in capable hands. Dr. Lewis Lim, a native of Kirkland, is not new to Kirkland Vision Center. Upon graduating from the University of Washington in 1998, he served a six month internship with the practice. At that time he primarily performed the duties of an optician, cutting lenses and assisting patients with frame and lens selection. I also taught Dr. Lim the "tricks of the trade" regarding rigid and soft contact lens fitting and special techniques for examining small children.

Dr. Lim obtained this Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2002. He has since established a successful practice in Kent called I Care Optical. However, he has always longed fro a practice in his home town of Kirkland. Dr. Lim shares my interest and expertise in specialty contact lenses and children's vision, and he specializes in the management of pathology related to diabetes and glaucoma. He also works closely with ophthalmology in the pre- and post-surgical management of cataract and refractive surgery. When not seeing patients, Dr. Lim enjoys basketball, running, cycling, snowboarding, gardening, and spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters. He is fluent in Mandarin and Cambodian and conversational in Russian and Spanish.

I believe Dr. Lim is the man who can take Kirkland Vision Center into the 21st Century. As a result of his work experience here in 1998 and his practice in Kent, he knows this profession from the ground up. Roxana, Cindy and Don are staying on, so you can be confident of receiving the same competent and friendly service we have taken pride in providing in the past.

Thank you.

Henry T. Peters, OD
